A touch of humor in a bad day
Dec. 21st, 2002 03:10 pm( Figures )
Been a hellacious day. And if you're wondering why I'm here, instead of somewhere around Columbia MO, its because I can't leave until Tuesday.
I overslept, so it was very light when I went to clean out the car.
I noticed a nice big oil-slick under the whole minivan. Marvelous. Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel has once again fucked up a very simple oil change. (Note: avoid Wal-Mart oil changes. Between fires and frozen engines, we don't need this crap.) Getting this result after being stranded at wal-Mart for 2 hours with two kids under age 5 definitely left me feeling fucked over without the lube.
And, it's Saturday, so my poor cracked oil pan sits at the garage until Monday when the dealership opens and i can get a new one.
I'll just sluff around today, watch some TV, crochet some more, and take it easy.
I'm all packed. Everything is wrapped.
Mom came through surgery all right, but isn't progressing fast enough to be let out of the hospital. So about 3 more days of intense therapy, amd she can go home. They want her able to sit up on her own, and walk to the bathroom with a walker. She's not managing either right now.
So, just veg, have some corndogs for dinner and hope I have enough money to actually go on Tues.
