Over the weekend:
Obi-Chris was playing Jump Start 2nd grade. One of the games is a money-counting one, where you play a song on the jukbox. He chose "Shoo-fly." One of the lines is
"I feel
I feel
I feel like a morning star."

He promptly changed it to "I feel like a ball with spikes." (which is the weaponry form of a morning star)

Today, Alex sent me an updated comic.
Oh so lovely! Beautiful naked boys, and a sense of bitter cold conveyed so elegantly.
She draws an impossibly accurate Han. I can't wait to see it completed.

Got rewrites done on the frame story for "Illugi's Saga." It struck me I can be homophobic in six languages now. Only 2 of which are actually still spoken. (I coined three of them: Huttese, Talteknan and Core Worlds slang) French and English are common enough, but Old Norse is the last. I feel so dirty.

Craft fair this Friday. Must finish afghan, get some needlebooks and ornaments made.

Scouts tonight, both kids.

Finally Fall

I saw some trees turning!

The stems of the maples are red,
the veins of the bradford pears likewise

And some small decorative trees on my drive to work are bronze among all the green.

It's going to be autumn for real soon!
