Blocked again

I really hate the period between Lammas and the Equinox. My body still seems to operate on the Wheel of the Year that my Celtic ancestors followed. All I want to do is nest. Crafts, gifts, preparing for winter. In other words, writing is a chore.

And naturally, I'm on deadlines.

Sept 15: No Holds Barred, fanzine, all Han/Luke edition. That one is pretty much done. Just needs a final polish and off it goes.

Oct 31: Sanctuary Moon, fanzine. Han/Luke focus. Still trying to finish something, anything for this one. Such a bummer, maybe after the Equinox.

I need to get the pattern for my Jedi Bear drafted and stitched for the exchange. The baby afghan is still not done. 3 rows white, 4 navy, 4 white, 4 baby blue, 4 white, 4 Coral Reef, 4 white. That's what's left.

It's too hot to crochet. The Air is still off at our place. Southern summer w/o air condintioning. God never made any hell down below. He made the South and knew he'd wasted enough heat.

OK, I'm just whining today.
When the AC guys get it fixed, I'm making cookies.

LongEarSal has been an experimental pet. She began life as a blue Acara. Then she was a Green Uni for a while. I wanted to paint her with a fire paintbrush, but swapped it away before Unis came out in fire. My daughter acquired a Cybunny transmogrification potion, and I turned her into a mutant Cybunny. (think General Woundwart from _Watership Down_ but uglier) I painted her with a Christmas brush, and now she's adorable.





Tygerion is my boy. I promised him wings, thinking Faerie Kougra, but he, like his mama, liked the bat wings better.
