valarltdDad was sick off and on in Nov and Dec.
He couldn't seem to get well, and he had one swollen lymph node that wouldn't go down.
The biopsy was inconclusive so they went in today. My sister,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jlm121, has kept me apprised.
What was supposed to be a quick in office procedure has turned into an overnight stay.
The pathology lab report on the node: squamous.
Not a word to see outside a Lovecraft story.
So the minor removal turned into excavation. Once all that heals up, there's going to be radiation treatment. Then there is checking for spreading to his lungs and stomach and other parts.
Tonight, he's in the hospital with a drain.
That comes out tomorrow, and more fun begins.
My sister looked at the dr who delivered the verdict and said, "You know I'm really not looking forward to going out there and calling my sister to inform her she now has TWO parents battling cancer."
Any good thoughts, prayers, healing energy, whatever you got, aim 'em at KC please?
