State of the Sookie

So, after a long talk today, we've decided to sell the house, if we can manage it.
We can't afford $1100/mo mortgage on a 4 bedroom that's half empty. We can't afford $25,000 for the needed repairs.
And living with no heat or AC, half our wiring shut off at the breaker for fear of fire, cooking on a 2 burner hotplate and a toaster oven is getting to me.

I accomplished very little. I mailed out the books from the Holiday Giveaway at Jessewave's. I doused the cats for fleas. I cleaned off my desk.

Tomorrow, Mudd has PT, a dr appointment and PFLAG. I need to edit and write and answer letters.
I'm going to make a pot of chili because it's supposed to get cold.

This must have been a difficult decision to make. I hope you're able to sell it and find a better living situation. Hopefully 2014 will go up from here. *hugs*

That had to be a hard decision to come to, but it sounds (from here) very logical. It'd be awesome to get you into a safer, more affordable space.
