So, it's been a while. But here are some unpleasant truths of what is currently happening and has been for a while.

KBR awarded detention center contractalso from 2006. $385 million of your tax dollars to Halliburton to build concentration camps, ostensibly for immigrants, and you're scowling at the woman who spent $7 in food stamps for the Dr. Pepper that keeps her awake between her two jobs.

Let's not forget the non lethal weaponry that our increasingly militarized police will have access to. (comedy site, but they get their facts right)

And the 14 defining characteristics of fascism. Let's see:
hyper-nationalism (does anyone NOT have a flag bumpersticker these days?);
Disdain for human rights, check;
scapegoating (gays and illegals, I'm just waiting for the scalp bounties to be posted);
Military supremacy, check;
rampant sexism (personhood amendments that would jail up to half of the female population!);
Controlled mass media, does anyone doubt it? Why haven't we heard about Iceland, which went broke but then avoided austerity?;
Suppression of Labor, hello Wisconsin, Ohio et al;
Intertwining of government and religion...SIGH. And Christians wanting to say they are persecuted while they run it all.
And so on and so forth.

There is a plan in place for the 99% and it ain't pretty.
If you can emigrate, do it. Don't stay for the piano.
