Have given some thought to homeschooling Oli during 5th and 6th grade. She is really hating public school and all the private schools locally are Christian.

She says I should start a pagan school, since there are so many in Memphis.
I say starting a private school is pretty much beyond my scope.

I think I could make lessons more interesting for her than what she's getting. She'd have to ride on the truck and do her schoolwork during unloading times and after sunrise. Afternoons would be project time.

Oli may have a point... Have you considered seeing if a homeschooling co-op with other local pagan parents might be possible?

We're the only ones on our side of the river. The rest are in Tennessee and the children are much younger: 4-9 And the 9 is special-needs.

She feels very awkward around the kids at church, because she is between them and the adults (no teenagers at our church).

Homeschooling... and during the days, if I'm not at work, I could help Oli, you know I would! I'm trying for night classes right now at MSCC, or just having classes on Tuesday and Thursday.... I could help Oli out if you needed me to some mornings :)

And this is why the school voucher program makes me so angry. Take money out of public schools to brainwash children. Hurray!
