MIchelle Obama and ribs

So, we were treated to the auditory spectacle of Rush Limbaugh going off on the First Lady for having a plate of ribs.

This.... flames on the sides of my face...

1) Anything can be worked into a balanced diet.
2) An occasional treat is fine. It's when the treats become a regular thing.
3) Some nasty dogwhistles in the part about show us how to live on twigs and berries and roots. Black=nature dwelling primitive without the art of fire apparently, even when one is the First Lady of the United States.
4) Clearly, no woman is immune to body shaming. Also the "black=ugly" got laid on with the subtextual trowel.
5) Rush can go choke on a Viagra.

I've got to say, the thought of ol' Rush saying that Michelle Obama could lose a few pounds is sublimely ironic.

You know. I think Lush Rimjob fails here. His job is to inspire fear and call them commies and nazis. That they eat ribs doesn't really accomplish this agenda because most of his fans probably do as well. He'd scream a lot more bloody murder if they had grilled tofu, the difference is that his idiots in arms would nod along with him about tofu. Ranting about them eating ribs? That's only going to humanize them to his audience and make him seem like a schmuck to them. So let him rant away.

He was constantly on about the calories and fat grams and "a leader needs to lead by example." Her big push is childhood obesity and better nutrition. So he was mocking that and her food choices.
