New Orleans or Akron, or both?
Jan. 31st, 2011 02:16 pmNew Orleans, if I do it solo:
$100 registration.
$500 hotel ($120 with roommates)
$100 train (16 gallons of gas, $50+$80 parking, 130/3 $43 with riders)
$20 riverboat signing.
food, stock, gift bags, etc.
$300, minimum, probably closer to 400-500
Plus side: I can sell all the books.
Akron:
Registration $202, includes food
Hotel: $300 (and I have a roommate)
30 gallons of gasoline ~$120 travel
~500, not counting promo items and stock
The major benefit of NOLA is that I can sell all the publishers' books, assuming anyone is buying. I will have at least 11 print books by that time.
The major benefit of Akron is programming and meeting my editor. (I have 2 print books right now from this company and two more scheduled)
