So, Obi had an upper GI workup today. And I had a gynecologist appointment. So I rescheduled. Then it was one thing and another and ending up in the wrong building and having to trek through two more. But the nurses said he was the most cooperative they'd ever seen and they got some of the best films EVER off him.

We went for lunch and Mudd called in the middle of it. My husband, who has an iron constitution, had left work sick sick sick.

So I stop at Kroger, get ginger ale, chicken soup and crackers for him, find out my clearance has come on my CPAP and fax it to Mississippi and then go get Oli for her dr appt. She has tonsillitis, or so I think.

I call Mississippi about the clearance. My supervisor is on vacation. His sub doesn't know anything and is in a conference call.

I move to avoid a large object in the road and hit the curb. ZING! Time to change the tire. Trying to avoid another $400 repair got us a $600 repair.

So, I get Oli to the Dr. She has Strep.

Three calls to Mississippi. Sub still in conference call.

I get the car to the dealership and get stickershock from the bill.

I get a call from work, night dispatch, and I'm cleared, back on I go!

I get home, plug in my dead phone and check the computer.

On the plus side, I got some writing done.

Looks like I'm not the only one who gets Super Bonus Lightning Rounds in the game of life. *chuckle*

If it's any consolation we went through Strep here recently and regular old amoxicillin knocked it back almost immediately. We still are on the 10 days of it but no symptoms now and not contagious.

And what happened that you need a $600 repair for hitting a curb?? That seems awfully high to me.

Anyway hope things improve soon! In my experience lightning rounds don't last that long once they start.

Ouch! I take it you bent an aluminum rim then? That totally sucks. BTDTBTTS.

At least they didn't charge you for imported lugnuts or something. :-(

The D-Man Checks In: Hmmmm... All that & you probably were not even wearing your super hero cape.

I keep reading the list of how your day went & keep wondering at what point you made the mistake of looking up at the Heavens to ask, "What else can go wrong?" ...So They showed you!

Go you!
