We're home from KC. It;s a LONG drive. But the Springfield route is excellent roads, until you cross into Arkansas. Then it's all two lane mountains, but those are my mountains and we did fine.
Yeah, I went to grad school in Springfield, then got my first job in Memphis. It's a brutal drive. Nice scenery, but the roads are unforgiving, especially when you get behind a slowpoke. And driving a u-haul? Ugh. We made the reverse drive a few years ago when I went back to speak at the school - nothing had improved in ten years.
