And I am so wrong but I really really want to see all of these SF movies from an alternate universe. William Shatner, Yul Brenner and Brian Blessed is a combination to conjure with. Clint Eastwood in Dark Tower: The Gunslinger or as Wolverine? It so works. And I support all promotion of the late John Phillip Law.
A nice review of Chain-male. "This delightful story may pleasantly surprise those readers used to the dark, edgy tone featured in much of the authors' backlist." (it's slightly kinky fluff)
And just because 17th century Hussars are awesome
Over the weekend, I have had two interesting encounters.
One tried to convince me that a $275 convention (not counting hotel) 800 miles away was less expensive than a $100 convention 400 miles away, after you factor in travel, parking, meals and other stuff.
The other insisted stories are not teaching tools. Holy crap, that is not something you say to a storyteller! Everything is a teaching tool and stories most especially.
