Of course they "aren't asking Walker to nullify the 18,000 marriages, but only to rule that government agencies, courts and businesses no longer have to recognize the couples as married." So you can still SAY you're married but no one has to treat you like it.

Try referring to a hetman's wife as his "girlfriend" and watch him go apeshit. Tell him that you'll acknowledge his marriage when everyone else acknowledges yours. And not before.

It probably won't change anyone's mind but it would certainly show them what a smack in the balls it is to have someone refuse to acknowledge a prevailing part of your life.
