valarltd14. How do you map out locations, if needed? Do you have any to show us?
I often start with real locations. Sometimes I rely on memory, but sometimes I will visit the places. Google Earth and Yahoo are also helpful. I didn't know the Valley of the Kings was 400 miles from Cairo, until I looked it up. My road atlas helps too. (Do you know, I can find Arkham MA? Even though it doesn't actually exist)
And sometimes, I do my own maps

Am working on one for the post-apoc novel.
