The Cable Modem is faboo. Now to get the LAN hooked up so I can get off dial-up too.

No heat yet, dammit. V. cold at home. Hope furnace comes in today and they can hook it up. We're under a wind-chill advisory for tonight, ten be-freaking-low!

Got the edits for Illugi done in a white heat last night. Not sure why, but all of a sudden there they were.

Kids home with bugs again. In an unheated house.
Must decide what to do.
Whether to go home or stay at work.
(cold here too)

You have a cable modem? Congratulations! I'm sure you'll soon wonder how you ever lived without it. If I could only pay one, the cable modem or the phone, I think I'd have to let the phone get cut off. *g* But what's LAN and how come that is still on dial-up?

LAN=Local Area Network.

The cable modem is on hubby's 'puter. My computer is still on dial-up.
We're going to network them so that i can use the cable modem too.

Frankly, I'd rather have heat in the house. (But that's coming no later than Fri)

In sympathy for y'all. I know you're in the middle of the same extremely cold weather we're having. Hope you were able to all go somewhere warm today, lice and all *g*. Sure hope that furnace gets fixed promptly - lack of heat with these temperatures is definitely hazardous to your health.
