BPAL: Chimera and Incantation
Aug. 3rd, 2009 02:27 pmChimera: (Bewitching Brews) The fiery, volatile scent of cinnamon, thickened by myrrh, honeysuckle, and copal.
Vial: Cinnamon!
Wet: Sweet cinnamon and copal
Drydown: Hard copal with myrrh, very resiny. Sweetens and thickens but still resiny. Very resin and incense smelling. Honeysuckle and cinnamon vanish
Dry: Copal. It's nice but not something I'll wear often.
Incantation (Bewitching Brews) A profound and entrancing potion. Deep, wispy, and unfathomably dark: vetiver, dark woods, crumbling and burnt black sandalwood and a drop of lemon rind.
Vial: Sharp and dark, some pine scent
Wet: It smells like Irish spring soap with pine
Drydown: lemon-pine and weeds. Vetiver always goes weedy on me. Goes to a piney herbal scent with burnt undertones
Dry: Still smells like Irish Spring. Blech.
