More art attempts.

Well, I'm keeping at it.
So far, this is the most recognizeable Luke I've managed. Han is getting easier to draw.

Getting good! Is this from RotJ? The hairstyle makes me think it is. Not sure if it helps, but if you think more of the shadows instead of the outlines... the way you did with the nose, you know?

It is indeed from RotJ.

I must be getting better if the hair is recognizeable.

I started with outlines, thinking line-drawing might be the way to go (a la coloring books) But shading might be where it's at.

I too recognized this as an RotJ portrayal. :)

I love shaded drawings myself (a la Zyene), but dang, they can be hard to do! And line drawings can be very powerful, I think, very suggestive - but they do require some sure, bold strokes to bring out personality. It depends on what you want to accomplish with your art, don't you think?

I always found that Luke was a lot harder to draw than Han. I'm not really sure why that is, I think it's the nose and mouth. Anyway, the book you mentioned in one of your other entries, is a great resource, I highly recommend it. Good work here.
