Random vidding woes

So Hubby was bit by the vidding bug.
Look for Succubus Productions presenting videos by Mudd as well as by Angel next year at Vividcon.

We did a lot of capping this weekend, and he has a splendidly dystopian vision for his video. Omega Man, Brave New World, Handmaid's Tale, Millennium, THX-1138, 1984. Bet it's a shivery sort of vid. (not Lance Heinricksen's "Millennium" but the appalling movie with Cheryl Ladd and Kris Kristofferson)

I also got my cardfile straightened out a bit. (yes I catalogue my videos. Otherwise I have no clue what is lying about)

My random thought of the evening:
"I'm storyboarding the Shoop shoop Song, you know "it's in his kiss?" What do you think of using Gethsemene from Jesus Christ Superstar 2000 there?"

I thought hubby would fall off his chair laughing.

Also, speaking of kisses, got the cutest Han/Luke screen cap from ANH. Looks a lot like smoochies: Luke is hurling himself in Han's arms, and the angle of their faces looks like a kiss just got planted on a cheek. It's going to be an icon as soon as I can get my home internet on line.

Every time I do anything with Sundown (Don't let the Sun go Down on Me) it screws something else up. I am so frustrated I am ready to say "screw it" and move on to something else.

I had inspiration for a multi-fandom war video to Birds of Prey March by Rudyard Kipling, music by Leslie Fish.
But I don't like war movies and so my visualization quotient is low. Any suggestions?

Definitely using Triumph of the Will, The Big Red One, Hair & Gone with the Wind. Maybe Bedknobs and Broomsticks and The Wall. Taking other suggestions as available.

Scary thing is my Dad has every one of these on DVD. Wait until he discovers that they have some of those horror/scifi movies from the '50s. ;) Of course, my Mom has every one of Julia Roberts movies too. Both of them think they are "classics'. LOL

We had to rent THX-1138 and Omega Man.

Did I mention he used Logan's Run and Gattaca as well?

He's vidding "In the Year 2525" by Zagar and Evans
