Yep. That's my experience at least...
Although, I doubt the Great Flanneled One had the kind of scenes I write in mind.

He clutched the ring set in the wall a bit tighter, and waited. A snap, and the thud of leather across his shoulders. A flare of pain, and there! The Force opened before him. He could see all ends, all the paths. The connectedness sang in him, but faded with the sting almost to the normal levels, yet not retreating as far as it had previously.

"Again!" Luke demanded. "I almost have it!"

The blow fell again and again at his urging, until the Force stayed . Basking in it, lost in the intertwining of all life, Luke meditated. He never noticed his lover moving the coldpac over his shoulders to remove the already-fading welts.
