valarltd: (bad day)

It's bad here

There was sleet all night.

Jonesboro is under 2 inches of ice.
The bridges were closed last night but seem to be up and running.
Linehaul is expected about 10 AM.

I made the kids walk to school, because it was safer than driving.

Be safe, darlin'.

Always always.

Thursday, 65 degrees. Today? Ice.

I remember those days from living in the North. Be careful out there!

The north isn't so bad. At least they know how to drive.

In Memphis, everyone loses their ever-lovin' MINDS.

That's true. I lived in Huntsville, AL for several years. Whenever it snowed, they would go nuts. And the grocery stores would empty out, even though the snow had usually melted within a few days.

I'm surprised that school was open in those circumstances!

Jonesboro is an hour north of us. It's my second stop.

We have a minor glaze with occasional sputters. But the two bridges across the Mississippi are icing, according to the news.

I got about 1/8" in LR. Managed to make it into work- the state did not close its offices today.

Stay warm!

It's nasty cold here too so I can sympathize. (A 1/4 mile walk in the cold last night has convinced me once again to retire someplace warm.)

Eek, sounds scary but then I hibernate if I see 2 flakes of snow.
