Jonner pulled through fine.
He's all groggy. And Dollface is doting on him. She's always had a real caretaking streak.

It was a cholesteatoma. So they had to skingraft his eardrum. I do know that discomfort all too well. At least he doesn't look like a little Crimean War victim. The big old "brain-injury" gauze wrap is gone, and he's just got a little cup held on his ear by an elastic headband.

His antibiotic pills are huge. He has trouble swallowing them.

i seem to have missed a post! I'm glad he's pulling through.

It's all been rather sudden. Last week, my second son had an ear dr. appt.
The doc announced they'd be operating this week.

I haven't written much about it, because obsessive mommy stress is not good reading.

He's uncomfortable, but more alert today.

He takes pills about as well as a stubborn cat.

We tried feeding him the hydrocodone first to relax him. Stinker held it in his mouth for half an hour!
Then we had a row about the pill. I think the gingerale melted it down.
