hmmm

I seem to have committed inspirational romance...

At its most basic, it's a romance containing spiritual themes.

The Red River Romance Writers defines it for their contest as "romance novels in which an inspirational message of personal religious faith is conveyed as a major element of the plot. This includes contemporary and historical." RWA's RITA awards use the same.

By this definition, Shell Shocked is inspirational romance.
I have just written the first Gay Pagan Transabled Inspirational Romance. *headdesk*
Gabriel's faith (he follows Cerunnos) is a pivotal thing for him. And helping him observe his religious rituals aids Sean's agorphobia.

Of course, dancing naked in the woods with antlers on, and then making love in a mossy grotto to solemnize their marriage and channel the god...O I should finish this, get it published and submit it to the judging!

Also, the Dark Carnival is sorta coming along. I need a plot, not just set pieces.

Sometimes, Obi says just the right thing. T's mother is a beautiful lady. I asked Obi if he wished he had a beautiful mama like that. He smiled and said "why would I wish for what i've got?"

You can turn a semi around on a 2 lane, give a 28' trailer and sufficient shoulder.

What does "transabled" mean? All I can think of is a transvestite--or transsexual--who's disabled.

Just as a transsexual transitions to the body that fits their gender, so a transabled person changes their body to fit their mental image.

Gabriel is missing his legs. By his choice.

God Almighty.

You know, I nearly lost my legs two years ago. They were badly infected. Staph infection. It took everything my power of attorney could do to keep the doctors from performing a double amputation.

I think I'm going to be violently sick now.
