Long day
I did about 2000 words of writing, applied for half a dozen jobs, got an appointment to go in and apply with a container company as a local driver (basically Memphis to Nashville, St. Louis, Little Rock, Birmingham, etc and back in a day). And Schneider National called me back. I could be a pumpkin driver by next week!
For those worried about my employment, let me say there is a driver shortage on at the moment, and everyone is scrambling. The union lines all want doubles/triples and haz mat endorsements, so they're out of the question for now.
(or I can scrape up $130 and take the postal exam for a better job that lets me get home nights)
