The joy of parenting teen-agers

Going greyer by the day here.

Bunny was staying the night at a friend's house. Or so we thought until she called in at 8:30 AM and said "mom? we're in Proctor. Can you come get us?"

Proctor is 15 miles away from the friend's house. They walked. All night apparently.

At least she had sense to get to a place with a real address where her cell phone worked so I could get a map and find them.

I was NOT a happy mama. She is grounded. No phone. No computer. Nothing but school.

AUGH! My SISTER did this sort of crap. I didn't.

Hey, she called you. This is a good thing.

But yeah, she is SO grounded!

May the Force be With You. You're gonna have teenagers for a very long time.

I remember the time I stayed over at a friend's house when I was in junior high and we decided we absolutely needed something from my house. So we waited until everyone was asleep and snuck out. It was probably about ten miles. We made it back, no problem.

Then my friend thought it was a great idea and tried it a few months later when she wanted to meet her boyfriend in the middle of the night. Except without my evil genius, she got caught and ended up in LOADS of trouble.

XD Teenagers.

Daughter: Mom, why do you have gray hair?
Mom: Every time you do something that worries or upsets me, I get another gray hair.
Daughter: Oh.
Daughter, after much thought: Mom, why are all of Grandma's hairs gray?

My answer to that would be "Because your Aunt Brenda was a holy terror."
