What have I done?

I just quit my job

Completely.
Totally. Walked off it and left my keys with the ILL librarian

I finally snapped over a cleaned desk.
I have had so much stuff stolen from me over the last 5 years that this was just enough to make me say "No more."

I packed my stuff (coffee mug, spoon, benedryl) and walked out.

Mudd has been absolutely supportive. I love my husband.

Sorry, sweetie.

I'm sorry

I hope something good shows up soon.

Hugs. Go you. Here's hoping that bigger and better things come out of that decision.

Everybody should have one "Get Out of Job Free" card. Sometimes you just have to get out of there, to save your soul.

I hope you find something good and low-stress soon!

Leaving a job can really suck. I hope things work out well for you.

Go Mudd, go you, and may the Next Right Thing come around swiftly.

Good for Mudd for being supportive and sometimes it's the old straw that breaks the camel's back situation.
I think you need to take some time and decompress and then look for the next opportunity. you'll find it

Oof. Sometimes you just gotta walk away.

Sending you good thoughts for the next great thing to come along for you soon. Close one door, open another.

Wow. Love and hugs and good new-job vibes. You know, your professional writing has been taking off... maybe this is a hint that it's time to work on making a career out of it!

(*Prolonged Stunned Silence*) "Ermmm... Okaaaay... A desk." Off hand I would say that the stress in there was WAY too much and that you did the right thing; escaping with what dignity and sanity you had left. Personally each time I have quit or lost a job, it always moved me up the ladder to something even better than what I had left behind. May the Fates be so kind to you as well.

*hugs*

Keeping my fingers crossed that something better will come around for both of us!
Perhaps we should get together, sometime soon? Since we both have a little extra time on our hands?
