Now I feel Redundant and Derivative

So, the other day, in researching the Lord's Prayer in Old and Middle English, I found some interesting stuff on Led Zepplin. Don't ask how, it's the nature of the web.

Turns out that "Stairway to Heaven" has always had LotR associations and if I were to make the Galadriel vid that's been rattling around I'd only be perpetrating a long tradition of fannish belief.

So, should I do it anyway, knowing it's cliche? I'm so not good at mocking cliche because I take my source seriously.

I figured I could get it together for MWC.

Pretty much any American over the age of 30 isn't going to be able to watch a LotR "Stairway to Heaven" vid without howling. The association of Zep and Tolkien is really the hoariest of hoary cliches.

The most horrible part is I'm 37. Since I wasn't into rock music until about 5 years ago, this all seemed like a fresh, new idea.
