How was the spook house?

Excellent as always. Michael West is a horror writer I really like. He's gross, sure, but he doesn't kill people gratuitously. He'll kill characters to advance the plot, but he never shoots for 100% death toll.

And he's scary. He can build the tension nicely and make it fit a novel length.

(also, very nice guy)

Spook House was a fine wrap up to his Harmony series. I strongly suggest reading The Wide Game (which i haven't), Poseidon's Children and Cinema of Shadows first.
