Devastation

300,000 are without power today.
There are no traffic lights in most of Memphis.

At Spanish War Memorial Park, a tree as old as the war itself now lies across Central Avenue.

Limbs, power lines littered my drive to work.

We hung around to see if Br. Louis would put us on lumberjack patrol. The fence around the tennis court is flat. The basebsll diamond is gone.

Historic buildings on Beale have suffered horrendous damage.

I saw a century-old oak smashed across a red 2003 convertable.

Be careful out there.

I may complain a lot, but today, i felt like a Memphian for the fist time.

I'm glad I live in West Memphis. The power is on here, and we're doing all right.

Whew, Angel, I had no idea things were so hairy down there! That sounds pretty awful. I don't know what else to say, but I'm glad you and your family are all right.
