Bad Day at Black Rock...err Kennett

Things were actually fine in Black Rock.

But in Kennett, we had the Load from Hell, almost 200 pieces, plus hundreds of unmanifested ones.

Then as I was getting down, I fell. As in Fell OFF the Lift gate. That's about 4' off the ground for non-drivers.

265lbs of Angel. 4' off the ground. Asphalt.

Yeah.

I have a badly twisted ankle, a strained neck, where I did manage to let go of a handrail before I dislocated my shoulder, and I took a chunk of skin off the point of my elbow. I left a puddle of blood somewhere about the same diameter as a soda can on the asphalt.

I went to the doc-in-the-box when I got home. Xray, clean and bandage. I'll be all right. Nothing broken, just a lot of bruising.

I've been terrified of falling off the liftgates since I started this job. Now I know how it feels and I'm even more afraid of it. William said I screamed all the way down.

OMG! I'm glad you are okay. Shit!

Lighting a pink candle and sending healing energy. Thank goodness it wasn't any worse. I hope you take a nice long hot bath.

Sorry that this is going to make you even more afraid of the liftgates.

(((HUG)))

Oh crap. :( Glad it wasn't more serious. I hope to hell your worker's comp covers the doc-in-a-box. Get better!

Glad you're mostly intact.

Good grief, I'm glad nothing was broken, and hope your injuries heal quickly. Sorry!
