from everywhere

Repost this in your LJ if you know someone who has, had or has been affected by cancer. 93% won't even take the time to Copy & Paste this.

If you prefer not to C&P, go do a breast self-exam instead.
Tomorrow, schedule a gynecologist appointment, especially if you've been putting it off.
Men, get your physical.

Cancer is an ugly way to die. I've lost a number of people to it. I was reminded very viscerally over the holidays how much my mother misses her husband who died of prostate cancer. I have a gynecologist appt. coming up soon. Every six months and hopefully no LEEP this time around.

Really.
I fell for it this morning. You can too. /end snark.

I'm editing now to put something useful in there.

I like the totally made up 93% statistic, too.

Assuming there is a gyno who will see you with lack of insurance. Sorry to "privilege bash" this early today, but the whole "get screened today!" thing is very unhelpful for those of us without access. :(

I know, hon. Planned Parenthood does it on a sliding scale.
