An evening of TV

Since my brain is still pretty mushy and I don't feel good, I watched TV.
I'd meant to watch The Scarlet Pimpernel with Sir Ian in it, but it had no captions. Boo.
So I caught up on Smallville. 3 episodes.

Legacy: This one was boring. So, I checked TWOP's recap, and this...just this.

"Papa Luthor says he went to the caves and found Clark Kent down there. Lex smiles ruefully. Who hasn't gone down there looking for a little Clark action? Papa: "And the hole was open. He opened it somehow." Again, Lex is not wholly unfamiliar with going down and finding Clark and an open hole."

Don't hand me a line like that! Not TWOP, and Not G&M. And you both did.

And Lex is wearing a wire and it's all about the key and Dr. Swann is back for some reason.
This is the ep with the Dad Fight in the Cave. Which is probably the best scene in it.

And again with the cute PSA at the end.

Truth: This one got watched twice, once regular and once with commentary from Allison Mack, John Glover and the director. Mack is quite the chatterbox, and Glover practically whispers most of his scant commentary. His very distinctive laugh comes across often, though.

Short form: Chloe gets hit with gas that forces everyone around her to tell her the truth, except for Clark.

Pete confesses his long and ongoing attraction. Martha talks about her worries. The Teacher of the Year turns out to be a former SDS on the run. Lex reveals he only wants his father to love him. Lionel doesn't bat an eye as he admits to killing his parents for the insurance money. And he's still banged up from the fight last ep! (Side note, Lionel has been losing control in the last three eps. This man is tightly controlled and he swears twice in this episode, most unusual)

It's intense and there is dirtybadwrong hospital blackmail and a Pulp Fiction moment I could have done without. Although pretty fuschia bra... I wonder if she ever wore it for Lionel
Special Hell, ticket for one.

Memoria: This was one of the more gut wrenching hours of TV.
We start with a Julian flashback, with a young Lex. He's singing to the blanket again.
Then there's the search for memories.
Lex's 12th birthday? ALL the feels. He sits alone at a table literally heaped with food and a mountain of presents and cascades of balloons. Alone. And crying. Because nobody came.
And Lionel--who is not entirely evil at this point--comforts him, and gives him a very special birthday present, the box from the armor of St George.
And oh my, it goes from there. (we will skip the scene where the orderlies strip Clark)
An intense scene with Martha, which shows last season has left some guilt in her.
We see the truth of the night Julian died. And Lex using that truth to devastating effect.
And we see Clark's earliest memory, sent off in the spaceship. And his first word was "Lara."
All the FEELS!

So, sleep now and much writing tomorrow, because I'm 2 days behind now. Let's see if the eyes will focus. My head hurts just from this bit
