Writing Meme, Day 11
Who is your favorite character to write? Least favorite?
All of mine have their good points and bad points.
I love writing a cooperative Nick, in any universe. When he is cooperative, the words just flow. However, if he's off on a self-pity binge (which he does wih some regularity) or on a Misha-thon (oh gods! even worse) then I am getting NOTHING done until he stops.
My least favorite has to be Steven in the Nikolai'verse. He's a difficult man. He is smart, powerful, and trying to be a good man. But he isn't. He's jealous. He's dishonest. He has a Daddy streak that maked Hubert Humbert look healthy. He's closeted. He's a control freak. He loves Tanis with a mad passionate, self-sacrificing love, that goes dark, possessive and violent in an instant. In Niko-Chan, Nick does enough of the damage, but Tanis would shake that off. It was Steven who really broke her.
